Episode 18 – Dungeons & Dragons

We played Dungeons and Dragons (and other roleplaying games) a lot when we were kids and teenagers. It was an important part of our lives and certainly had an effect on our development (or lack thereof…). Why do we feel it was good for us and probably good for others? What do we make of the recent resurgence of Dungeons and Dragons? What about computer games they call roleplaying games (RPGs)? Do they count? We share our view and advocate playing pen and paper roleplaying games in this episode.

Hahaha when Cliffy said ‘so what does role playing mean for you?’ I couldn’t help shouting out ‘Shervin’s character Aragorn going into a cave and killing 69 kobolds’ 😆 …. good times

I think I played this once by accident when I was trapped in a dorm room with a bunch of guys. Wait, that doesn’t sound right. Anyway, your version sounds like more fun. How does one get into this? Will I be overwhelmed by the level of geekiness, or is there a way to ease into it?
